University is probably one of the most self-defining experiences in the lives of most students, it’s an opportunity to think independently and allow your perspectives to mature and develop. As the next generation, it is important that we actively engage with the issues that affect us and our community.
ACS Engage relates to any events focused on engaging these issues and includes anything from our informal discussion groups to film screenings and speaker events. Our informal discussion groups are casual spaces where members can come together to talk about a variety of topics that of particular importance to our community, while speakers and screenings are a bit more focused. Regardless of how we come together people are always engaged and have something to say. Most importantly, everyone always leaves an ACS Engage event with more than they came in with.
If “knowledge is power” then ACS Engage is a means for our members to share their knowledge, develop their views and empower themselves and each other.
